I have now created a place mark (a hallmark) for Töreboda which is the city to where I have moved.
This is how the placemark for Töreboda looks when marked in silver. The image is from a microscope.
Mark of place is used to identify where a work with precious metals has been performed.
Also you have marks to show the purity of the metal, maker's mark och year notification. In Sweden you are not obliged to mark silver in any way. But I think it's a great info to put on your work. I don't use maker's mark at the moment, instead I engrave my signature.
It might also be interesting in the future to be able to identify a piece of work.
